Glansman, Bernadine Yvonne (Simonson)
July 31, 1932 – December 24, 2021
Predeceased by her parents Oscar and Hilda Simonson as well as 7 brothers and sisters (Alf, Cliff, Gordon, Kenny, Donny, Verna and Vina). Bernadine lost her husband Edward Douglas Glansman of 67 years on September 21, 2021. They were better together and “always and forever”. Loved by 2 daughters Arlene (Terry) Cairns and Laureen Strekies. Also by her 5 grandchildren Nolan (Kathleen) Cairns, Leslie Cairns, Michelle (Josh) Strekies, April Strekies, Tara (Sanjay) Strekies as well as 6 great grandchildren Jace, Holden, Oliver, Hannah, Rowan and Sadie.
She will be missed by her sister Helen Webb (Simonson) many nieces and nephews and some very dear friends. Bernadine “Deena” did everything with Ed. They traveled the world with best friends and her sister Helen (Doug). They spent much time in Canmore, walking the trails and always “shopping”.
Deena was a great 5 pin bowler in her younger years and always baked the best apple pie. She was a giving person to all. Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A private gathering at Bardo Cemetery near Kingman, Alberta will take place in the future. Thank you to the staff at the Strathcona County Hospital, the Royal Alex Hospital, Chartwell Emerald Hills in Sherwood Park as well as the various EMS staff.
