It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clayton Wayne Klymok. He passed away peacefully at home in Edmonton on March 5th, 2023, at the age of 73 years.
Clayton was born at Elk Point, Alberta, on July 25th, 1949, and he grew up on the family farm in Bellis, Alberta, until his father passed away. Along with his siblings, and his mother Jean, Clay then moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where he completed his education.
Clay was a labourer for the Labourers International Union of Alberta, Local 92. He had a passion for nature and spent much of his free time, and in his retirement, fishing, hunting, foraging for blueberries and mushrooms, and tending to his garden. His hobby was
building flower planter garden boxes. He was known for his gentle and kind spirit
towards all wildlife that he encountered.
Above all else, Clay was a loving and devoted family man. He had a special bond with his two children, Lisa and Jordan Klymok, and his wife, Elsie, whom he loved dearly. Clay’s three grandchildren, Lindsey, Haley, and Karter, brought him immense happiness, and he was proud to be their Grandpa.
Clay was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Jean Klymok; and his siblings, Patty Klymok, Brian Klymok, Delma MacDonald, Darcy Klymok, and Jim (Cecile) Klymok. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Elsie Husak, his daughter, Lisa Klymok, his son Jordan Klymok and his daughter-in-law Kirsty Cherniwchan, his beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, his sisters Loretta Maisonneuve and Janice Klymok, and numerous other family and friends.
Clay will always be remembered for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and nature. His legacy will live on through the memories he created with those who were lucky enough to know him. A celebration of life will be held at a
later date.
