Daniel Robert Baxter

Daniel Robert Baxter age 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 9th, 2020. Born in PEI, Dan was the oldest of four children. At 18 years of age he moved from the East coast to Alberta where he pursued his love of music, performing and touring in bands for many years until settling in Edmonton, AB.
Dan’s easy-going nature and unconditional acceptance of others made him a natural fit to work in social services where he quickly became a favourite among clients and co-workers. A born storyteller with an immense sense of humour, he loved to share tales (sometimes tall) to amuse and entertain all who would listen. In later years, Dan ’s interest in electronics and computer technology led him to become certified in Networking and Microsoft systems. After surviving cancer, Dan enjoyed camping and travelling with family and friends as well as pursuing his interests in technology, including some novel and unique inventions.
Dan was predeceased by his wife, Sheila Arora and father, Robert Edward Baxter. He is survived by his mother Edythe Baxter of Rothesay, NB, sons; Rob Laverdure (Amanda) and Eric Baxter both of Langley, BC, brothers; Jeff (Diane Symbaluk) Baxter of Sherwood Park, AB and Roger Baxter of Calgary, AB, sister Robyn (Stephen Smith) Baxter of Clifton Royal, NB, nephews; Rob and Alex Baxter of Sherwood Park, AB and niece Jessica Baxter of Rothesay, NB. Interment service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery in Clifton Royal, NB in Spring/Summer of 2021.
