It is with great sadness that the family of Delpheen Ilah Cummings announces her passing on May 9, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Our mother will forever be remembered by her children Marlene Cummings, Linda (Jay) Watson and Bob (Kim) Cummings. Delpheen will also be remembered by her 5 grandchildren Brad ( Ashley), Chris, Angela (Wyatt), Jenna and Lindsay, 7 great grandchildren , sisters Eunice, Elsie and Sharon, brothers Ken (Marlene), Allen (Georgine) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Harper, Delpheen was pre-deceased by her husband (Errol Cummings 1982), parents (Thomas and Jessie Ann Harper), 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Del was the sweetest, kindest person you could meet. She was a strong person who made the best of every situation and was needed and appreciated by many. Passionate about country music, Del knew all the words to all the old country songs. Del had a greenthumb and enjoyed spending hours in her beautiful gardens. Del was a devoted wife, mother grandmother, sister and aunt who will be remembered every day and will always be a part of all who loved her.
Due to Covid restrictions a private graveside memorial for family will be held on May 17, 2021.
Memorial Donations in honor of Delpheen may be made to Capital Care Strathcona, Heritage House.
