Donald Allen Kossman

It is with heavy heart that the family announce the passing of Donald Kossman. He passed away peacefully on January 6, 2021 at the age of 84. He was a beloved Father, Brother, Uncle, and Grandfather.

Don was born in Edmonton on August 16, 1934, son of the late Albert and Selma Kossman . Don was pre deceased by his wife Agnes Down who passed in 2011. He is survived by his children, Bryan (Robyn), David, and Shelly, as well as grandchildren Lee, Alycia, Hanna, Lesley, Brittaney and Katelynn.
He will also be missed by siblings, Ken (Darlene), Harvey (Sandi), Vi (Terry), Shirley, Darlene (Murray) as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Don spent his life working as a shift manager for Lafarge, prior to a long and golden retirement. He lived for his grandchildren, spent his days gardening, golfing and ruthlessly crushing his family at cribbage. His life was well spent watching the oilers lose, complaining about the oilers losing, and vowing to never watch hockey again… until the next season.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Edmonton SPCA, for Donny’s love of his bulldog Mus and, of course, the Ponies.

Due to COVID restrictions, no service will be taking place. The family has instead opted to hold a memorial when we can all be together.
