Eileen died peacefully on July 28, 2023. She is survived by her
loyal cat Jasper; her children, Shaun Ward (Lisa Kozak), Brendon Ward (Jo-Anne), Darron Ward (Louise Langevin) and Janine Ward, her former daughter in law Irene Ward (Andre Dupre); her grandchildren; great grandchildren; Sister Cynthia Quibell,
extended family, friends, Funakoshi Karate students, &
neighbours here in Canada, in South Africa & around the world.
She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Edwin Ward; parents George & Emily Rafter; twin sister Stella Decker (Trevor); brother George Rafter (Valerie); Sisters Patricia Dennis (Lionel), Natalie Dennis (Ronald); Zita Ronald (Dennis); Margaret Schimper (Elmore); brother-in-law John Quibell; and granddaughter Miranda Ward.
On August 27, 2023 a joint celebration of the lives of Eileen and Edwin will be held at the Broadmoor Golf Club in Sherwood Park. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation or your favourite animal charity.
