It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Erna Hamaluk on November 17, 2021.
Erna will be deeply missed by her children: Len(Ruth), Nick(Lois) and Wendy(Daryl).
Baba always held her grandchildren very close to her heart: Amber(Brent), Ashley(Mark), Adam(Stacie), Travis, Brad(Kasydi), Megan(Cody), Ty, Hailey, Tiffany & Kate and great-grandchild: Brooklyn. She was known as Baba to so many and we know she will be greatly missed by her extended family and numerous friends.
At this time there will be no formal service held.
Erna’s family would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Ottewell Lodge staff and residents where she lived for the past few years. She made many special friends while living there. Also, a big thank you to the Grey Nuns Hospital staff and St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital staff for their care and support to ensure Erna’s comfort throughout her stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital or the Grey Nuns Palliative Care unit.
Just received the notices for the celebration for Erna. I hadn’t heard that she had passed. She was a special lady. She was one of the first people to welcome me to the community and will remember her for her kindness and her love of laughter
