It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gerard. A beloved husband, father, father in law, grandfather and brother.
Gerard is survived by his wife of 56 years Barbara, children Stephen (Chelsea) Jamie, granddaughter Anna, siblings Marian (Tom) Tony (Linda) nephew and nieces.
Gerard was very caring and loved to talk to anyone that would listen. He will be forever missed and cherished by those who knew and loved him.
A very gentle man. We will miss him and all the conversations we had about garage sales, bikes etc and all the advice he had . Sorry for your loss.
Gerard left us far too soon, he will always be in my memory. He’s my big brother. Born in Liverpool, 1 of four children, to Joseph and Ellen Maguire, sister Myra (passed), brother Anthony, sister Marian. He married Barbara had two sons, Stephen and Jamie, moved to Canada, had a lovely life.
Loved English football, Liverpool was his team. He played amateur football back in England. He also loved all the family’s dogs and cats, they loved him back to.
Butcher was his 1st trade, but he wore several different caps in life, his last, he was an avid reseller, loved garage and estate sales, and was happy making deals.
He is still my big brother, and I miss him dearly.
Taken so suddenly leaving all of his loved ones heartbroken. Rest in peace Gerry. God bless.
Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord,
let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace.
God Bless.
Heartbroken your gone uncle Gerry, thinking of all your family. Hope you meet up with my gramps Allan in a beautiful place, sending lots of love from your sister in law Pat also.
My deepest condolences for all his loved ones. This man truly was a pleasure to run into at any given time of day! Such an honour to have got so close and have the connection we made. Gerry you will always have a special place in my heart.
We were very sad to hear of Gerry’s passing. He was a lovely man with a wonderful family. I knew Gerry as an avid treasure hunter and collector. Having viewed his collections many years ago I could see that he certainly had an eye for spotting interesting things. But I know that the biggest treasure he cherished was his family. We are sending our love to all. We are thinking about you.
Gerry was a wonderful husband, father, granddad, & friend. He is greatly missed by all of us and will always be remembered in our hearts. Rest easy my friend.
