It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of;
Herbert Freer June 1937 – Nov. 2021.
Herbert immigrated to Canada from Hull England in 1959 where he became a Marine Engineer. In 1968 he moved to America continuing his work as an engineer. He returned to N.S. in 2002 to spend a bit of time with family. He then moved out here to Ab. in 2007 to be with his other brother & sister.
He enjoyed his lifestyle here, he loved boating, fishing & of course telling stories around the campfire.
Herbert is survived by wife Debbie, a step_son, three step_ daughters & a son Herbie Alan,, all of Florida, two daughters, Jane & Mandy of Hull England. Many grand_children & great_grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews.
Survived also by siblings;
(Suster) Iris Wood, brother;George (Gail), All of Mulgrave, NS.
Also brother Alan ( Linda),
Sister Barbara ( Reg) , all from Sherwood Park. Ab.
Herbert was pre_ deceased by parents George & Violet Freer, first wife Marilyn, a son Richard, & a sister Patricia.
Some of Herbert’s happiest times were spending time with his extended family at the Lodge & going trail riding on his scooter with his buddy John.
He is going to be missed by many.
It was Herbert’s wish to be cremated & his ashes spread at sea. His wishes were fulfilled.
