It is with great sadness that we announce that Jane Ann Kobeluck passed away peacefully on March 20, 2022.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her sister Lorena Gardner as well as her nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Jane was predeceased by her partner Robert Lloyd Dunbar; parents Metro and Mary Kobeluck; brother George Kobeluck; and her sister Florence Konduc.
Jane was born in Thorsby, Alberta and left the farm after finishing school to pursue a
career in Edmonton. She worked as a nurse’s helper at the University Hospital and later as a switchboard operator at the MacDonald Hotel.
Jane was fun to be around and always saw the good in people. Her smile could brighten anyone’s day. She had a love for apple pies and Teenburgers with a coffee on the side, and always looked forward to outings with her niece.
Jane’s caring and kind ways will be deeply missed. Her daily calls to friends and family to check in on their health or just to say hello were of great comfort to many.
Our gratitude goes out to her neighbours for being so great in assisting her with tasks around the house the last few years. We would also like to acknowledge the staff at St. Joe’s Auxiliary Hospital for their compassion and care.
Jane will be interred with Lloyd at Westlawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
