It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Falconer

After a short battle with cancer, Judy passed away peacefully at the age of 65. She is survived by her daughter Nicole (Scott), son Taylor, brother John, and sister Jill (Pat). She leaves behind many loving family members, as well as a plethora of amazing friends and neighbours. Judy was predeceased by her parents Frank & Betty Falconer, her sister Susan, cousin Marilyn, and constant companion~ her dog Stormin’ Norman.

“…on earth as it is in heaven” ~ Judy is now tending to God’s Garden and is ensuring that the perennials up there are in ‘just the right spot’.
In the absence of a memorial or gathering, please raise a glass of red and toast to the amazing woman that she was.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honour to Habitat for Humanity, a charity that she volunteered for and travelled with on builds, or to CKUA, her favourite radio station that always helped keep a song in her heart. The family is also collecting funds to go towards a commemorative City of Edmonton bench in her honour.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

To Nicole, Taylor, John & Jill, I send my sincere condolences. I remember Judy with fondness as a teenager and very beautiful soul. I contacted her only once in her adulthood to find out where my old best friend was living, Jill. She grew into a beautiful, community-minded human, obviously. Bless her heart and soul.

Randy Frey

You were an amazing person Judy and you remained in my heart for over 40 years.

Rest in Peace!

So sorry Nicole and Taylor to hear about Judy. She was a strong and independent
soul. Since I met her as my new neighbor
I always admired her youthful beauty.

Nicole and Taylor, I am heartbroken over the loss of your mom and my dear friend! She and I met 50 years ago at the Greyhound Bus depot in Edmonton on route to CGIT camp on Pigeon Lake. From the moment we met, we knew we would be friends for life and we were.

She was my go to girl! I will miss her terribly.

Hugs

Jo-Anne Fischer Cassidy

We met Judy a few years ago through her neighbours, Tonia and Tim, and always enjoyed sharing a glass of wine, gardening talk, and stories with her around the campfire. We found her to be a beautiful, gentle soul and are so sorry she is gone much too soon. Sincere condolences to all who loved her.

Doris And Jim Anderson

So sorry for the loss of your mom Nicole and Taylor and the loss of your sister Jill and John.

Susan, Jill, Judy, Marilyn, Bonn and I, Doris, had lots of fun girl times during our summers in Athabasca, Edmonton and Edson during our childhoods. Unfortunately many of us lost touch in our adult years.

Rest in peace dear cousin,

Doris and Jim Anderson,
Oliver, B.C.

Janet Kremer-Kerr, Athabasca

Nicole, Taylor, John, and Jill, words cannot express my heartfelt sorrow for your loss of Judy. Red headed, vivacious, quirky sense of humour, lover of gardens, pets, and a fierce defender of ‘the right thing to do’. One of the good people of our planet. Miss you my dear scrabble opponent!
