In Loving Memory

Kasper Rigelhof
April 5 1922 – July 26 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kasper Rigelhof at the age of 101.

Kasper was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Rigelhof (Puff); and sisters Catherine (VanNest), Amelia (Gerlinsky), Elizabeth, and Cecelia (Ormel); brothers Frank, Michael, and Stephen. He leaves to mourn his passing his sister Ann (Stauch) in Regina and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kasper was born and raised on the home farm in Altario, Alberta to parents George & Carolina Rigelhof. He was called up into the army in the fall of 1942 and served with the coast guard on our west coast before being sent overseas. He returned in the spring of 1946 to the family farm. He then purchased land in the Blackfoot, Alberta area where he farmed for 8 years before buying a farm just outside of Nanton, Alberta and farmed there for 25 years before retiring.

In retirement Kasper and his lovely wife Mary took holidays in numerous places such as Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Mexico. Most of all they enjoyed the trips all over Canada and the U.S. with their RV.

The family wishes to thank all the dedicated health care professionals who cared for Kasper in the last months of his life. A special thanks go out to the Kipnes Center for Veterans in Edmonton, Alberta.

At Kasper’s request there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
