The family of Lorna Erno is deeply saddened to announce her passing on January 14th, 2022. Lorna was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt , sister and friend.
She leaves to mourn her loss her four sons, Mitchell of Grande Prairie, David (Leora) of Edmonton, Dean (Darlene) of Teepee Creek, and Barrie of Edmonton. Also, five grandchildren: Kevin (Monique) of Teepee Creek, Trevor (Brandi) of Clairemont, Maria, Spencer (Tammy) of Edmonton, and Dorothy(Michael) of Vernon, BC…Fourteen great grandchildren: Ashley, Christopher, Nathan, Machaela, Kristen, Riley, Kain, Kadence, Mackenzie, Leland, John, Douglas, Sarah,
and Samuel. Also, two great great grandchildren Scarlett and Gabriel. Two nieces Marlene and Dorene. Many friends and cousins.
Lorna was pre deceased by her parents Robert and Harriet Gow, and her five siblings: Fern, Marjorie, Victor, Robert and Leslie.
Lorna lived a long , independent and eventful 96 years of life serving proudly in the Canadian armed forces in World War II, waitressing in Edmonton, travelling and cruising to exotic places in her later years and finally settling into Ritchie Place seniors residence for the past 21 years.
Special thanks to St. Joseph’s auxiliary hospital in Edmonton for taking such good care of her in her final home.
As per Lorna’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
