Bella Poirier Gagne was born October 21st, 1922 in Cold Lake, Alberta and died August 9th, 2023 at the age of 100 years, in Stony Plain, Alberta. She died at the home of her daughter Margy, where she wanted to be.

Bella was born at Norbert & Rosanna Poirier’s homestead in Cold Lake where her

Bella met and married the love of her life, Ben Gagne with whom she shared her life with for 47 years until his passing September 28th, 1989. They were married at St. Edmunds Parish in Edmonton on June 3, 1947 on his brother Lou’s birthday. The young couple
honeymooned in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia.

7 Great-great Grandchildren: William, Kyle, Julianna, Aliza, Aiden, Sawyer, and Hailey.

She is also survived by brother-in-law Lou Gagne, as well an abundance of relatives,

Sadly the family also lost grandson-in-law Josh, husband of great-granddaughter Rene shortly after Bella’s passing.

Aunt Bella was always happy to see her nieces and nephews. Even when we lived far away and only visited in the summer, Aunt Bella knew all of us and our children’s names and was genuinely glad that we dropped in. We will keep her in our heart as she kept us in hers. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Bella and Ben were both one of the Dykes favourite people. My mom Eugenie always told us Uncle Joe was a very Special Brother, and her children carried her love and respect with them for all the Gagne family. Unfortunately I lost Marie and John this year and I am the only one of our family left. I send our prayers and condolences for your loss.
