January 28, 1923 – February 20, 2023
Mom slipped quietly and peacefully away from this life to the next on Monday afternoon, held in the arms of her children, until Jesus reached out his own arms.
Mary was born in Provost, Alberta, to Theodore and Charity Paulson, but she was raised in Cadogan, Alberta. She was the last remaining member of her family, and Dad’s. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ken, in 2018, just after celebrating 75 years of marriage! She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Jerry McOrmond, and great-grandson, Jacob Dorchester Shippelt. Remaining to mourn her are her six children: Leslie (Byron) Lauber; Dave (Colleen) Scott; Marilyn (Dennis) Huebert; Susan McOrmond; Bill (Bernadette) Scott; and John (Betty) Scott. Mom also has 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, with two more expected this year.
Mom always said that the greatest and best decision she and Dad ever made was to
follow Jesus. It transformed their lives and they never, ever regretted this choice. We, as their children and extended family, have been blessed over and over again throughout our lives as a result of this choice.

One of the great blessings of my life was having Aunt Mary as a part of it. She was a
wonderful, caring, and loving person. It was always a joy when I was able to get together with Her and her Family. She has left her legacy to the world, with the wonderful children she has raised. She effused their lives with love, and taught them how to follow her example. She will be sorely missed.
I know that Mary is with Jesus and will receive many stars in her crown for the life she lived. I am saddened for you as family as I know she will be deeply missed.
We are so sorry to hear about your mom, Uncle Bill. Sending you our deepest condolences and virtual hugs from across the globe. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
Leslie, David. Marilyn, Bill, Susan, John & spouses. Your Mom was a wonderful example to us of a godly lady. Their home was always a welcoming place and we had many wonderful meals there. Both your parents prayed for all of our family and were always there to help us. You were blessed . Love you all!
We feel deep sadness and gladness simultaniously at dear Mary’s homegoing. Our lives have been so very much enriched because of knowing both Ken and Mary as our friends, sponsors in our ministries, and encouragers in many of life’s situations we were able to share with them, knowing they prayed for us? Our prayers, at this time, are for you to experience God’s comfort and strength these days of a surely painful transition to not having your parents and grandparents around anymore. God bless you with his mercies anew every morning – Irene and Hardy
Your Mom was a sweet lady. As a student at Prairie High, I remember admiring her beautiful white hair and her gentle smile.
May you feel God’s loving arms wrapped around you.
Dan and I send our deepest condolences to the children of Mary Scott. Our hearts rejoice knowing she is no longer bound with the confinements of her earthly body. She is reunited with all of her precious loved ones and rejoicing in the very presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
