It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Segatti (nee Wigmore) of Edmonton, Alberta.
On May 1st, 2025 , after a long fight between an ailing body and a fierce will to live, Diane lost her battle to cancer .
Diane was born on April 19th, 1950, in Grand Prairie, Alberta. She married Roy Segatti on Feb 21,1970 and they had one child, Tony.
Diane enjoyed gardening, baking, camping, and vacations with her sisters. She was an avid fan of the Oilers, Eskimos and the biggest fan of any team involving her loved ones. She truly was one of a kind and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Diane is survived by her son Tony, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Sara and Luke, and her siblings Heather (Eugene) Stcherba, Dorothy Penill, Evelyn (Dave) Franz, Robert (Deb) Wigmore, Darlene (Kevin) Lesjak and Randy Wigmore.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents Robert and Florence Wigmore, her sister Margaret Busko (nee Wigmore), her brother Gerald Wigmore and brother-in-law Jerry Penill.
A celebration of life will be held on May 21st at 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the A.J. Ottwell Community Centre, 590 Broadmoor Blvd., in Sherwood Park, AB.
In lieu of flowers or donations plant something that she would love like a tomato plant, flowers or a tree.
